Cassia bark is known and termed as Chinese cinnamon. However, from the inner bark of the cinnamon, the cassia bark is obtained which is deep brown in color and woody in aroma. In India, China and many other countries, it is used as spicy agent and flavor agent. The inner bark of the cinnamon is processed by solvent extraction method to obtain cassia bark oleoresin.

Uses:

The cassia bark oleoresin has warm sensual effect, which makes it a perfect medicine for the cure of fever, cold, cough and nausea. In The books of Ayurveda medicines, it is used for making of medicines for stomach disorder, obesity, diabetes and pain treatment. As a flavoring agent and spice, the cassia bark oleoresin is used for the flavoring of lamb meat in India as well as China.
